DR. AYESHA AZIZ

I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2021 from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan. My doctoral research focused on “Stigma and Discrimination about Depression and the Efficacy of Intervention for Primary Care Staff.”
As part of my work, I conducted an experimental study with primary care professionals, aiming to reduce stigmatizing attitudes and intended behaviors toward individuals with depression. The intervention incorporated mhGAP-IG, Contact-Based Intervention, and Problem Management Plus (PM+), demonstrating significant effectiveness in enhancing mental health literacy and reducing stigma.
